Altea & Calpe

Let’s discover Altea, the most photographed town of the Costa Blanca and another one that is its symbol, Calpe.

Altea
Altea is the most photographed village on the Costa Blanca and has been an inspiration for many painters. It is a town with lots of charm, a maze of cobbled streets, stairs and white houses adorned with plants and flowers. After visiting the charming town you can relax on its beaches.
Interesting things to see: historic center of Altea, Nuestra Señora del Consuelo, Mirador de los Cronistas de España.
 
Calpe
Calpe has obtained during the Roman Empire a great importance due to its strategic position between the sea, the ruins of the Baths of the Queens where the fish was preserved have been kept.
Later it passed into the hands of the Muslims and finally in 1254 it became part of the Kingdom of Aragon.
The Peñón de Ifach is protected by the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park which is one of the most visited in the Valencian Community. Refuge for unique species of the world and birds such as gulls, gannets, Eleonora’s falcon, peregrine falcon and swift.
Hiking enthusiasts can find wonderful views and some of the best beaches with crystal clear water.
