Peñíscola (Old town, Beach and Castle)

This famous seaside town is one of the most attractive destinations in the Castellón region.

The jewels of Peñíscola are its citadel, located on a peninsula bordered by two beaches, its beaches with crystal blue waters and white sands with a breathtaking view of the castle of Papa Luna.

The fortress castle of the 14th century, a spectacular construction, rests on an imposing rock, culminating at 64 meters above the sea. The castle is so beautiful that the antipope Benedict XIII (Pedro de Luna also called Papa Luna) decided to make it his residence.

You will fall in love with Peñíscola, its beautiful old town, its beaches with blue waters, the views from the beaches and the promenade, the stairs and ramps, the white houses, squares and medieval buildings.

Peñíscola beach is one of the best in Spain and is famous for its white sand, blue sea and incredible views of its castle.

Part of the network of the most beautiful villages in Spain, this destination has also been used as a filming location for the hit series Game of Thrones, for its sixth season and also for many movies, among which we can mention “El Cid”. During our visit, we will have the chance to see 2 or 3 sites where the series Game of Thrones was filmed.
