About the Event
First we will go to a magical place: the Caves of Canelobre, then, after recharging our batteries, we will go to the turron museum and have the opportunity to witness the making of Turrón de Jijona, a very popular sweet. In between these interesting visits, you will have the opportunity to get to know the centre of the two cities and you will have plenty of time to relax, make friends and enjoy your time there with a beer in your hand and a beautiful view in front of your eyes.
Jijona & El Canelobre
In Jijona we can visit the Museo de Turrón, which tells the history and technology of the production of nougat and marzipan in the town of Jijona. In this town, turrón has a smooth consistency. The Cuevas de Canelobre are caves located in Busot, 23 km from Alicante and with the entrance at an altitude of 700 m on the northern slope of the Sierra de Cabezón de Oro. The visit reveals strange shapes of certain concretions: candelabras, jellyfish, organs, etc. and the way the lighting is organised makes it even more magical (think that sometimes even concerts are organised here!).
