About the Event
Jerica An ancient and beautiful medieval town, with an old town worth visiting. Strolling through its narrow streets you will be enchanted by the Mudejar Tower of the Bells, the only tower of this style in the Valencian Community. In addition to the interesting monuments such as the Torre del Homenaje and the Castle enclosure, the Town Hall Square, the gates of the wall and the numerous fountains that are found in the streets, it also has a wonderful natural environment. Salto de la novia Navajas, a very beautiful town with a lot of history. The protagonist of this town is its spectacular waterfall “el salto de la Novia”, a wonderful place to enjoy nature and take pictures. But not only, in its central square preserves the most important tree of the Valencian Community, the oldest elm tree in the world that also appears in the Guinness Book of Records, and another thing that draws attention is the large number of stately homes of great architectural value. Description of the biking route The route is linear and of easy level. It will be about 42 kms of downhill cycling. We will start in Barracas and finish in Navajas. The Ojos Negros Greenway between Teruel and the Valencian coast is currently the longest Greenway in Spain. Due to its length, 160 km, it has been divided into two sections. The Palancia River Valley is the setting for this stage of the Sierra Minera railroad. From the Barracas plateau, at the foot of the Sierra de Javalambre, the Ojos Negros Greenway descends to the rich Valencian orchard on the shores of the Mediterranean.
